December 4, 2025 – San Francisco, CA – Power Factors has been selected as ACEN Australia’s renewable energy asset management solution, providing ACEN Australia’s technical asset management team with portfolio intelligence through Unity Asset Performance Management (APM).
ACEN is one of the fastest-growing renewable energy companies in Asia Pacific, with more than 1 GW of capacity in operation and construction in Australia and more than 13 GW of solar, wind, battery storage, and pumped hydro in development. ACEN Australia’s portfolio includes some of the country’s largest solar assets, including the newly operational 400 MW Stubbo Solar project, which is notably the first solar generator backed by a Long-Term Energy Service Agreement (LTESA) to reach full commercial operation.
ACEN Australia will implement Unity APM to maximise its renewable energy production, using event loss and management to detect, categorise, and resolve downtime and underperformance faster. Unity APM’s predictive maintenance proactively detects equipment degradation, identifying early warning signs to prioritise maintenance before failures happen. The entire platform is built on a foundation of validated, normalised, and transparent data, delivering trusted performance metrics across ACEN's expanding renewables portfolio.
“Unity APM is like a copilot for our asset management team, helping us keep our operations efficient, maximise our energy production, and stay on top of our performance metrics,” said Michael Connarty, Head of Operations and Trading, ACEN Australia. "With Unity, we’re keeping downtime to a minimum and easily managing back-end compliance and reporting, so we can keep our focus on sending as much clean energy as possible to the grid.”
With the addition of ACEN Australia to its customer base, Power Factors now has nearly 6 GW of renewables under management with a dozen Australian renewable energy operators, including 4 GW of solar PV, 572 MW of wind, and 1.1 GW / 1.8 GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
“ACEN Australia manages some of the biggest and most innovative renewables projects in the country, and this is the ideal moment for them to introduce Unity APM into their operations,” said Julieann Esper Rainville, Chief Executive Officer, Power Factors. “When you’re expanding from 1 GW of operational assets to 13 GW, simplifying asset management is one of the most important things you can do to ensure success. We’re glad to offer Power Factors’ technology and expertise to support ACEN Australia as they grow.”
